Opening Ceremony: Burlesque Meets Hot Dog in America's Heartland
O'Betty's Bob Satmary and I in front of the hot dog museum
Click here to check out my recent post for the Opening Ceremony blog. I recently visited my favorite restaurant in Athens, O'Betty's, to try out the "Duncan-Go-Nuts" hot dog, a secret item that was a front page feature on Ohio University's The Post the day of my visit.
The "Duncan-Go-Nuts," a slab of peanut butter and veggie chili (yup, you heard correctly), is the perfect example of harmonizing sweet and salty. I had this topped on a veggie - or as O'Betty's calls it, "shy" - dog deep friend and snug fit in a toasted bun.
I'm salivating as I type this.
